Meet Mark

Mark is a devoted husband, a proud father of five, married to an ER nurse in Winnipeg, and a passionate advocate for the people of Point Douglas. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, he earned his degree in Management from Far Eastern University before beginning a career in banking at the age of 21.

In 2010, Mark made Winnipeg his home, bringing with him a strong work ethic, a commitment to service, and the belief that every opportunity should be earned through hard work. He spent seven years as a supervisor at a casino, where he built valuable leadership experience, managed diverse teams, and learned the importance of accountability, teamwork, and serving the public with respect.

Family has always been at the heart of Mark's decisions. Together with his wife, they made the choice to prioritize their family's future, allowing her to pursue a demanding healthcare career while he took on a greater role in raising their five children. Today, Mark continues to serve the community by working part time in the staffing office at St. Boniface Hospital, helping support the healthcare system while remaining actively involved in his family's daily life.

Having built a life in Winnipeg over the past 16 years, Mark understands both the opportunities and the challenges facing local families. He knows what it means to work hard, balance family responsibilities, and contribute to the community through service and leadership.

Mark is running for City Councilor for Point Douglas because he believes residents deserve a representative who listens first, leads with integrity, and puts people before politics. He is committed to advocating for safer neighbourhoods, stronger community partnerships, responsible spending, and city services that truly meet the needs of residents.

For Mark, public service is not about politics. It is about people. He believes every resident deserves to be heard, every neighbourhood deserves to feel safe, and every family deserves a city they are proud to call home.
